Leaders in Online Performance Advertising Form New Online Advertising Firm W4

Venice, CA, May 26th, 2009 - Founders and former senior executives of Hydra, one of the online media industry's leading ad networks, today announced a new online advertising company, W4. The team behind W4 includes the former COO, CSO and CFO, EVP and VP of affiliate network operations of Hydra, representing more than 30 years of experience in online advertising.

W4's first product offering will be a performance-based affiliate advertising network focused on long-term campaign efficiency, quality affiliates and transparency. "Building on our reputations in the affiliate marketing industry, we intend to create a cost-per-action network known for its commitment to servicing the needs of advertisers and publishers," said Jason Durant Walker, co-founder and president of W4. He continued, "We are building the company from the ground up with a 100% customer focus, and are investing committed capital to deliver products and services today's sophisticated advertisers and affiliates demand."

The founders of W4 include Jason Durant Walker, Abby Whitridge, Adam "Wicks" Walker and Doug Walker, each of whom has broad experience establishing and growing online media and advertising companies (including ResponseBase, Intermix, Camden NewMedia and Hydra). Abby Whitridge said, "In addition to serving performance marketing industry leaders, we will assist agencies and brands in taking advantage of the benefits of results-based advertising on the Internet." Each of the founders is well known in the online advertising industry and has a track record that has garnered them numerous awards and recognition, including three appearances over ten years among the top 100 of the Inc. 500 fastest-growing companies in the U.S., Los Angeles Business Journal fastest-growing internet media company, Deloitte Technology Fast 50, Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year, and the Award for Business Leadership.

W4 intends to follow its performance-based advertising network business with additional offerings. "We will be developing new opportunities including a very disruptive technology that exploits CPA ad pricing through channels not previously accessible to advertisers looking to pay only for results." said Adam "Wicks" Walker.

The company will launch its affiliate ad network and begin placing advertising campaigns soon. Additional services will follow in the second half of 2009.
